Wealth Management Platform
Background
Stable value is a type of investment option designed to preserve capital and provide stability, particularly within defined contribution plans like 401(k)s. Offering a balance between the safety of principal and a competitive rate of return. MassMutual is a significant provider of stable value investments, offering various products tailored to different needs. These products are typically offered through group annuity contracts.
The challenge
Currently, stable value clients receive their account statements and rate reset letters, bills through email. Leading to high security risks, unencrypted transmission, should the email be compremised.
My role
As a Senior UX Designer, I developed a comprehensive end-to-end experience catering to both client and internal stakeholder needs.
Results
Design dashboards for external users and home office users that are clear and comprehensible.
Enable the external user to access paperwork more independently.
Developed a scalable solution to enhance and diversify the dashboard for Day 2.
The MVP is:
Consistent- Maintain pattern consistency (same patterns used in same way throughout).
Scanable- Incorporate scaling opportunities for future-proofing (i.e. Make Payment) an overall reduction of rework for the client and Home officer worker.
Easy- Reduction of friction with find-ability/scanability
Skills I learned
Information Architecture: Ability to structure complex information in a clear and logical way.
Strategic Thinking: Aligned design solution to business goals with a long term vision.
Adaptability: Adjusted final designs as I reached the goal post. This will not only happen here at MassMutual but in other industries as well.
